Position Details

Regional Sales Specialist (Minneapolis)
Minneapolis, MN
National Sales Manager
Position Background

Cartiva, Inc. is a venture-backed medical device company located in Alpharetta, Georgia, which is funded in part by the world’s largest venture capital fund, New Enterprise Associates. Cartiva, Inc. develops and markets innovative products for the treatment of cartilage damage and osteoarthritis.

Cartiva SCI is a biocompatible, biomedical polymer implant designed to offer an alternative to fusion by replacing damaged cartilage with a compressible, low-friction and durable bearing surface, thereby providing not only pain relief but also improved function and motion.

Cartiva received Premarket Approval from the FDA on July 1, 2016 for its Cartiva Synthetic Cartilage Implant (SCI) for arthritis of the big toe joint. The approval allows Cartiva to market the first synthetic cartilage device approved by the FDA in the US, and is supported by Level 1 clinical evidence from the largest randomized study ever conducted for this condition.

We intend to replace fusion as the standard-of-care procedure for great toe arthritis. Subsequently we expect to expand our product offering for arthritis in the thumb and knee, where initial study efforts are underway.

The successful candidate will possess the experience, intellect, intuition and drive to introduce and promote Cartiva SCI to orthopaedic surgeons, increasing its use for appropriate patients, while managing all aspects of the sales territory to achieve ambitious revenue and profit goals.
